Hangzhou Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Hangzhou Nightlife

Hangzhou is the capital of the Zhejiang province in China. Known for its ancient roots, the city has plenty to offer for visiting tourists. After the sun goes down, there is even more to do in Hangzhou and we have highlighted just a few of the most popular hangouts at night in Hangzhou, China.

Reggae Bar

This bar caters to the English and European crowd featuring imported drinks and an English food menu. The bar is a casual place to hang out and plays a mix of reggae, rock, and rap music. Weekends can get quite busy at this bar, and while there is no dance floor, tourists may be able to catch a glimpse of a few patrons dancing in the doorway.

Night and Day

This is a three story bar that specializes in latin music. The first floor has a live latin band most nights and is the life of the party. The second floor to the club is usually a bit more quiet, while the third floor offers great views of the city. Night and Day is known for its exceptional food and extensive menu.

Shamrock

Located in a historic building, Shamrock is one of the few bars in Hangzhou where tourists will be able to find Guinness. This bar caters mostly to a western, sophisticated crowd and often does special events over the holidays. Inside, patrons will find good music, western food, and pool.  While there is no dress code for entering the bar, many people do wear nicer clothes. Shamrock is at the intersection of two major roads, but the bar itself is tucked into the back of the building so tourists will need to keep an eye out for the Shamrock sign or else they may miss it!
