Daegu Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Daegu Nightlife

Hit up a Korean nightclub or find Western culture revamped in Daegu.

Gypsy Rock

Gypsy Rock is a decent sized club by Korean standards. There’s a hip-hop club downstairs and a techno club upstairs. The hip-hop portion of the club charges a cover, normally 5 thousand won or approximately $5 USD. It’s probably the best club in the city. It opens at 10 pm and closes well after 3 am. It’s located in downtown Taegu where you can find other clubs and other things to do. There’s no dress code, but on weekends there are bouncers, and they do pat you down.

Elvis Bar

Elvis Bar has good beer and nice decor backed by really loud modern music. The beer comes in huge pitchers with dry-ice smoke billowing out of them and lights in the bottom that change the color of the beer from red to blue to green. There’s free popcorn, good service, and some westerners hang out there. The staff speaks some English. The Elvis Bar has reasonable prices, and you can get Corona’s and Molson Canadian for a decent price. Try the Hite Stout, it tastes like a Guiness and is really cheap by the pitcher.
