Carvoeiro Travel Guide
Carvoeiro is also known as Praia de Carvoeiro and is a beach town in Portugal. The town offers beautiful sights to tourists and many things to do. To highlight just a few of the main sites, we have put together a short travel guide with some tips to help tourists get around when visiting Carvoeiro.
Learn Some Portuguese
The main language in Carvoeiro is Portuguese, so before traveling there for vacation, try to learn at least a few key phrases in Portuguese. It is important to learn simple phrases like, “thank you” and “hello” to at least show the people of Carvoeiro that you are trying. Most of the natives in Carvoeiro will smile and be happy that you are attempting their language, but reply in English.
The Grand Cafe is located right on the beach and is a great place to stop for a quick snack. The cafe is a perfect spot to grab a quick ice cream to either eat at the cafe or to take with you. While the food is good, the service can be a bit lacking as some of the waiters seem more interested in talking to each other than actually serving.
Algarve Sol Boat Trip
Be aware of taking this boat trip. The boat docks at Carvoeiro beach and will go up and down the coastline. While the trip can be quite beautiful, the boat does have a reputation for not being the most punctual. At about 50 Euro per person for the trip it can be quite frustrating to have a late sailing trip. The boat will stop on the beach for a private barbecue for those aboard the ship, but even the lunch has been reported to be quite lacking.
