Cody Things to Do

Within Cody, Wyoming, there are a number of exciting things to see and do. It’s important to know about the various attractions as well as the places to drive to see more.

Nature

Cody gets its name from William Frederick Cody, who is better known as Buffalo Bill. A variety of tours will leave out of Cody as well as nearby. Some are self-guided while others are with groups. Driving from Jackson Hole to Yellowstone will provide a number of beautiful sights. This includes the complete Lower Loop of Yellowstone. You can also choose to stop at Big Thumb, which is near Yellowstone Lake. Hotels are within the area, though you may also decide to take advantage of one of the many campsites that are within the national park, allowing you to get closer to nature.

 Top Places to Visit

Wyoming is all about the Wild West and one stop not to miss is the Buffalo Bill enter of the West. There are a number of museums, which is why most people recommend taking two days to be able to see it all. There’s also the Old Trail Town and is open seasonally. The town of Cody is only about 9900 people, though Park County in itself has many other treasures for you to see. You can always see a rodeo as there is one held almost nightly.

A Cody trolley is also present within the city, making it easy to get around once there. This allows you to go to all of the sights, see guns within museums, and even take a selfie with a buffalo inside one of the museums.
