Shah Alam was the first planned city after Malaysia gained independence. It is situated in Petaling and Clang districts and is the capital city of the state of Selangor. Visit the Blue Mosque

There are many picturesque mosques to choose from, and their attractive traditional and modern designs will leave you glued. However, the Blue Mosque named after Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah is the most recognizable landmark and one of the most impressive mosques in Malaysia. It is called blue because of its majestic blue dome and its tall miranets.

Visit the Selangor Islamic Arts Park Complex

You will access the site at no cost. It is considered the newest tourist attraction site devoted to the production, development, and exhibition of local Islamic arts and attracts both foreign and local visitors. The site is managed by a non-profit organization called Yayasan Restu that preserves and cultivates Islamic arts in the state. The structure is honey-combed with two stories that are home to nine galleries, children’s center a lecture hall and various activity rooms.

Visit i-City Shah Alam

The i-City is a commercial and retail hub and has an advanced information-communication infrastructure eight sections. The site has many animal figures and LED lights on trees to brighten up the night.

Visit the Famous Shah Alam Lake Garden

This is a place for residents and visitors to relax amongst tranquil, back-to-nature settings. The garden has many green spots and attractive landscaped gardens. You will experience the famous annual International Boat Show and the Selangor Orchid Exhibition, enjoy seafood from the floating restaurant and have fun on the human made lakes.

The site is situated within the Lake Gardens and exhibits art collections, fabrics, and local handicraft for viewing and visitors purchase arts at a normal price.
