Granada Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Inside Tips

Granada Shopping

When it comes to shopping in Spain, you can’t beat Granada for its fun and eclectic selections. Here are some of the highlights of shopping in Granada.

Best Places to Go Shopping

The Spice Shop–This outdoor spice stall is enchanting. The aroma of the dozens of spices sold here wafts out onto the street, beckoning you inside. Once inside, the scents are stronger and heady, floating you away on a cloud of delightful sensory indulgence. The spices are sold in bulk, not in bottles, so come prepared to take an ample supply of whatever you love home with you. With all of the lovely scents in this stall, you will want to stay and shop a while.

Calle Calderia Nueva–Located in the Old Arab Quarter, this place looks like a market in Morocco. It is a small shopping district on its own within the city, and you will find much to fascinate and entice you here. There are a selection of quality tea shops, silk stalls, and trinket stores that will make you think you’ve been to the Middle East instead of Spain. It is a must-visit shopping location on any visit to Granada.

The Pharmacy–More than just the typical pharmacy, this store is like an apothecary from a medieval fairy tale. The shelves are lined with jars of herbs and spices, like the ones used when everyone made their own medicines at home. It is the perfect place to visit if you are in the mood to make your own home remedy, or think you might want to try. There are some intriguing ingredients here that look like they came right out of a witchcraft textbook, too. This is definitely an old-fashioned store worth visiting.
