Warsaw Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Inside Tips

Warsaw Shopping

Warsaw has no shortage of shopping, and whether you’re on a tight budget or going on a shopping spree, Warsaw offers something for everyone.

Malls

Zlote Tarasy (Golden Terraces) is a huge mall conveniently located in the center of Warsaw next to the Central Railway Station. The undulating glass roof looks like bubbling water from the outside and covers an interior courtyard and a sprawling top- floor food court. The mall houses about 200 shops and restaurants that offer much everything you could want from a shopping spree. Some people don’t like the massive structure and get lost easily, others say it’s a must-see if you’re going to Warsaw for a shopping weekend.

Some visitors have said Galeria Mokotow is one of the best malls anywhere in the world(Dubai and Singapore included). There’s an amazing selection of brand name items at really good prices, and it’s conveniently located – about a $7 USD taxi ride from the city centre or the central train station.

The Arkadia contains two levels of designer label shops, along with a number of less-expensive clothing and shoe stores that cater to those looking for a bargain. The mall contains a large hypermarket with an internet cafe and a food court, and a large multi-screen cinema takes up a third floor.

Gifts

Old Town is home to dozens of little shops and individual merchants selling art, jewelry, souvinirs, books, antiques and more. Though nowhere near as jammed with shops as the old city in Krakow, there are still quite a few places to browse around here. The merchants are not pushy at all, so you can feel free to slowly peruse their wares at a casual pace. You’ll find many money exchange points in Old Town as well.

Bazaars

The Kolo Flea Market (Bazar na Kole) is Warsaw’s most famous bazaar, and it’s the best place to go on a weekend hunt for treasures and weird artifacts. With a hodgepodge of genuine antiques, period furniture and other relics of the past, you can unearth some truly rare treasures here – along with some fakes. Bargain for everything and make sure you’re buying the real thing. Open Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm.
