Philbrook Museum of Art

If you are interested in seeing a world-class art collection and learning about the 1920s Tulsa oil boom, the Philbrook Museum of Art is the place for you. The museum is housed in a Tuscan Renaissance-style villa formerly owned by an oil baron named Waite Phillips. Art works by William-Adolph Bouguereau and Pablo PIcasso exist here.

Tulsa Zoo

Tulsa’s zoological park is known as a living museum, offering animal habitats that incorporate artifacts and cultural art. Popular exhibits include the polar bear and tropical American rain forest, which offers marmosets, acouchis, and a variety of reptiles.

R&R River Parks

This park runs for 10 miles along the bank of the Arkansas River, from the 11th Street Bridge to 101st Street. It is a fantastic place to just take a stroll or walk the dog on a clear day. Bronze wildlife sculptures are situated along the path, as are fountains and playgrounds. Shops and restaurants along the river walk also draw tourists and locals alike.

Riverwalk Aquarium

The Riverwalk Aquarium is beautiful and offers the opporutnity to pet live sharks and stingrays. You will have the opportunity to see electric eels and large sharks feasting on dinner. This is one of many family-friendly attractions in this Oklahoma city.
