Siena Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys, & Inside Tips

Siena Shopping

Siena is a beautiful city in Italy’s Tuscany region. Its unique stores and shops will delight dedicated shoppers visiting the city on vacation.

Souvenirs

If you want to shop for souvenirs to bring home to friends or to help you remember your visit to Siena, Via della Sapenza is a good place to start. There you’ll find souvenir shops where you can purchase typical souvenir gifts like postcards and keychains, as well as items like jewelry and pottery.

On the same street, there is also a children’s souvenir shop that sells unique toys and branded items as well as ordinary souvenir gift items.

Ceramics

The Tuscany region of Italy has a long tradition of ceramic artwork, and Siena is no exception. There are a number of stores that sell locally-made ceramics and crafts in the city. Check out Artigianato Senese, which is located next to the Baptistry, for religious items, art reproductions, and hand-crafted ceramics. One of these pieces of art would be the perfect keepsake to commemorate your time in Siena.

Food and Wine

The food in Siena is excellent, and you’ll definitely want to try eating like the locals do. Go to De Miccoli on Via di Citta to pick up meat, cheese, olive oil, wines, drinks, and truffles to put your own Italian meal together. Or you can buy a sandwich and glass of wine to be eaten on the premises. The food at De Miccoli is pricy, but delicious enough to be worth the cost.

You should also check out Bini, on Via Stalloreggi, for delicious baked goods like ricciarelli, cantuccini, and panaforte. Bini has a large picture window that allows you to watch the pastry chefs at work while you wait.

Don’t miss these fantastic shops while you’re spending time in the city of Siena.
