Sevilla – What to Pack – Clothing and Supplies Tips

Sevilla What to Pack

Sevilla is the largest city in Andalusia, an autonomous community of Spain. Given its subtropical Mediterranean climate, tourists should be aware of the appropriate clothing to wear, and what to pack, prior to visiting.

Be Prepared for the Heat

The climate during the year is ideal from April to June, after which temperatures steadily rise. During the summer, remember to take some light clothes and a hat with you. You might also want to take an umbrella to block out the sun, while sunscreen might help prevent burns. Clothing trends in the area are usually casual, and most locals wear long skirts and trousers. They combine these with short sleeved tops during the hottest parts of the year.

Take Appropriate Footwear

Shoes are an important item to take when visiting this region. There’s lots of walking to be done in Spain, and the cobblestone paths can wear down your feet if you don’t prepare for them. Sturdy shoes are recommended and heels should be avoided, as the rough stone paths can quickly eat into the soles of some shoes.

Don’t Forget the Extras

Always bring extra batteries and lots of film. There are many beautiful vistas and ancient locations to visit, each of which makes for a gorgeous photo opportunity. It’s always wise to bring toiletries and medication. However, if you do forget your medicine, there are plenty of pharmacies in the city at which you can restock. A rolling luggage back is advisable, considering all the walking that is required in the city.
