Hyderabad has some very interesting things to visit that you would not expect to find in India, such as the largest movie studio in the world. The public parks are very nice and there are plenty of places to take the family.

Ramoji Film City

This is not exactly a park or a garden, however, it deserves to be in this category because it is so interesting. Everyone visiting Hyderabad should visit the Ramoji Film City at least once.

Ramoji Film City is a kind of a massive park of various film sets. It’s just awesome and it is the largest film studio complex in the world. It is about one hour from Hyderabad by bus, which gives you a chance to see the local scenery on the way there.

Nehru Zoo Park

There’s a train that can take you for a ride and if you want to see some really wild animals and there’s also small safari tour. One of the largest and the best zoos in Asia, the Nehru Zoological Park has nearly 1,500 species of animals, birds, and exotic creatures.

Gandhipet Lake

Gandhipet Lake is also known as Osman Sagar Lake. Mir Osman Ali Khan, the VIIth Nizam of Hyderabad city, built a dam to create this wonderful lake with Treasure Island that is a man-made attraction. As a picturesque holiday spot, Treasure Island is an ideal getaway where one can relax and enjoy with the entire family.

Sanjeevaiah Park

Sanjeevaiah Park became popular and known as a lover’s park. Located in the lower Tank Bund area, it is one of the oldest parks in the twin cities. After its recent renovation, the park has attracted more lovers than ever before.

Lumbini Park

A major attraction on the Tank Bund Road is the Lumbini Park. It has all the basic essential requirements to please the kids, which makes it popular with families. There is a beautiful public garden located right next to the Assembly that is very nice to visit.

Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park

The park is located at Vanasthalipuram, at a distance of about 20 km from the city. The park was established in 1977 and provides a nice, natural setting for a picnic or a day’s adventure.
