What to pack for Saudi Arabia – Packing List

Saudi Arabia What to Pack

Saudi Arabia is a country in the Middle East that covers most of the Arabian Peninsula. Before your visit, pack sunscreen, layers of clothing, comfortable shoes, a map, and a travel guide.

Luggage

Bring a backpack or rucksack along. It’s easy to carry when you are out and about, especially if you’re in the outdoors.

Sunscreen, Hats, Sunglasses

Saudi Arabia is in the desert, so it gets hot here. Before your visit, buy sunscreen that’s high in SPF, and lots of it. Don’t forget a hat and at least one pair of sunglasses. At night, the temperature dips considerably, so include a few jackets, gloves, and a hat for when the sun goes down.

Map and Travel Guide

As you should in any foreign country, bring a map and travel guide. Weeks, or even months before your trip, review a map of Saudi Arabia. Focus on the area in which you plan to stay, but also look at the surroundings streets, towns, and villages. Saudi Arabia isn’t a fun place to get lost. Travel guide books will bring you up to speed on the best restaurants, hotels, and the highest-rated tourist activities. Travel books and magazines are great resources for travelers.

Comfortable Shoes

When in Saudi Arabia, expect to walk. The country’s largest cities have several transportation options, but many of the country’s tourist attractions can only be reached on foot. Pack a pair of athletic shoes, preferably ones you already broke in at the gym. Comfortable shoes will prevent blisters and will allow you to spend more time exploring the country.

More Important Items

Any toiletries or medication you may need for your trip we do suggest you bring from home, but most areas will sell generic brands as well.
