The Peak

Victoria Peak and the iconic Peak Tram ride are the number one tourist attraction in Hong Kong. The day views are gorgeous, but the night views are certainly spectacular if the right conditions prevail. The weather plays a big role in terms of visibility. If you are fortunate enough to spend a few days in Hong Kong, then you should choose the clearest day/night possible for your trip to the Peak.

Kowloon

Kowloon is an urban area in Hong Kong that was originally a walled military outpost and was famous for exporting salt to the surrounding area.  Situated at a factory building footsteps away from the Kwun Tong subway station, the 3D Gallery is easy to find.  This place is highly recommended for families, lovers and friends. With 3D backdrops, 2 selfie rooms and props provided, the gallery is cozy and not crowded, unlike some other 3D museums in Hong Kong.

Lamma Island

Cars are not allowed here, so you’ll have to walk everywhere.  There’s a real feeling of community on the island. If you’re looking to escape the big city for a while, this is the place to visit. On the main street, there are local shops where you can find nearly everything you need – fruit, vegetables, groceries, things for your home etc. There are also some good restaurants and bars; Chinese, Indian, Italian, Turkish and organic vegetarian.

Ngong Ping

Tian Tian Buddha is a must-see at Ngong Ping on Lantau Island.  Built in the mid 90’s, it got its name because its base is a model of the Altar of Heaven or Earthly Mount of Tian Tan, the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. One of the five large Buddha statues in China, it is enthroned on a lotus on top of a three-platform altar. You will also find the Nan Lian Garden built by the Chi Lin Nunnery. It only opened to the public in 2006. It’s a classic Chinese garden that will leave you stunned with its beauty.
