Once in Girona
Girona is a lovely medieval city, easily accessible by walking. Getting into the old section takes 15 minutes; just over the first bridge you’ll find a tourist office with information and maps. Cobblestone streets lead the way as you explore, though some are uphill so be prepared to walk. At the top of the hill, at the river, visit the old Jewish Quarter, medieval cathedral, moorish gardens, and the University. There are many places to eat and drink along the way, though check the hours: some close from 1:30PM to 4:00PM for siesta.
