Wat Phra Suthep Buddhist Temple

On the way up the Buddhist temple Wat Phra Suthep, there a dozens of souvenir and food shops. You can either walk up to the temple or take a taxi ride. There are 306 steps up to the temple and is guarded by two Naga. The Naga is a mythical serpent. The tails of the Naga are designed as impressive handrails.

Hilltribe Settlement in Chiang Mai

Tourists are welcome to visit the Karen Long Neck Hilltribe Settlement. This village in Chiang Mai is known for the women who wear heavy brass rings around their necks, forearms, and shins. The girls begin wearing these rings at the age of five. The men work in the fields while the women make cloth by hand that they sell to visitors.

Traditional Thai Massage

There are lots of places where you can get a traditional Thai massage. You can ask for a full-body massage or a singular item like a foot, shoulder, or neck massage. Many of the massage parlors offer a choice of aromatic oils. Along with a soothing massage, you’ll listen to calming music in the relaxing environment.

If you want to learn the techniques that the Thai people use for massage treatments, you can visit one of the many massage schools. They have public and private classes where you can learn from professional masseuses.
