Province of New Brunswick Things To Do – Attractions & Must See

Province of New Brunswick Things to Do

One of the tourist attractions across from the harbor is St. Martins Lighthouse, which also houses the Tourist Information Center. Check in at the center for information about the area.

Market Square

Market Square is a nicely done, small, 2-story mall with a combination of shops, restaurants, ale house, a spa, and even the city library inside. It’s light, colorful, vibrant and has a homey feel to it. Inside you’ll find a large atrium center filled with places to sit, enjoy a cup of coffee, read a book from the library, meet friends and generally enjoy the seasonal decor.

Hopewell Rocks

If you’ve ever learned about the tides in school but never really seen it in action, go to Hopewell Rocks. Visit first during high tide, go somewhere else for the day – like Saint John – and then come back later in the day to see the low tide. Oh, and don’t forget to bring mosquito repellant. There are a lot of mosquitos in the forest as you walk to the rocks, but don’t let that discourage you from this natural wonder.

St. Martin Sea Caves

The biggest attraction at St. Martin are the phenomenal sea caves carved into the side of the sandstone cliffs. Before exploring the caves, check the tidal charts so you know when the tide is expected to come in. Be aware that the tide comes in quickly, and if you do not leave and complete the walk back to shore in time, you could be in serious trouble.
