Christchurch – The 4 Main Shopping Malls and Other Shopping

Shopping in Christchurch: The Four Main Shopping Malls

Seated in the Canterbury Region of New Zealand is the city of Christchurch. It’s a major urban area that boasts four main shopping malls that tourists can visit.

The Four Malls

There are several very good malls around Christchurch to shop at. Northlands Mall, The Palms Mall, Westfields Mall, and Eastgate Mall constitute some of the most popular places to shop in the city. If you are not sure how to get to any of these malls, you can jump onto the Orbiter Bus, which drives a loop linking all of them. The cost is less than three dollars for up to two hours of travel.

The Palms is probably the best if you’re looking to dine and shop. It also has a movie complex, making this spot a good place to go to spend the day.

The Smaller Malls

There are actually several smaller malls that tourists can visit.  However, they’re not connected by the Orbiter Bus. Hornby and Dressmart are located across from one another, and Dressmart is more of an outlet store. Still, it’s a good place to visit if you’re looking for bargains. Riccarton is easy to reach using a number of bus services, since many routes run by it. Finally, the Bush Inn is yet another small mall where you can find affordable deals.
