Taxis

Taxis are expensive so they are used less frequently than public transportation. If you are going out at night you will have to use taxis because the buses stop running fairly early. The taxis charge an extra surcharge at night.

Buses

There are buses that go from the train station to the downtown area that leave frequently during the day. If you arrive at the night, you will have to take a taxi from the taxi stand outside the train station because the buses do not run late at night.

To take the bus from downtown back to the train station costs only about 1 Euro and the bus leaves from just below the tourist information station in the center of Biarritz. The bus makes about ten stops, but it is comfortable and easy to take. The trip from downtown to the train station takes less than 30 minutes.

There a flights to connect to other European cities and there are trains that leave from the airport to go to neighboring countries.
