Airport

You can get close to San Marino via plane by flying into the the Federico Fellini Airport that serves both Rimini, Italy and the Republic of San Marino. You’ll be 27km from San Marino.

Bus

From the airport, you can catch a bus to San Marino that departs from the Rimini train station. You’ll find a small ticket shack next to the train depot that is manned shortly before bus departure. The bus runs about eight to ten times per day, leaving every 75 minutes. The bus drivers are quite punctual, so be ready to board a few minutes before departure or you’ll have to wait for the next one. It takes about an hour to reach San Marino by bus.

Cable Car

Enjoy epic views by traveling from the Borgo Maggiore cable way station in Rimini to San Marino. Travelers say it is an enjoyable experience and very quick transportation. The cable car departs every 15 minutes.

Taxi

Catch a taxi in Remini to San Marino. The taxi drivers accept Euros. The taxi ride gets you there quicker than the bus, but costs about ten times as much. The taxi trip to San Marino takes about 30 minutes.

Train

Italy’s Trenitalia system does not serve San Marino.
