If this happens, try to avoid swerving, which can land you in another lane of traffic or in the ditch. Instead break hard and try to miss the animal. If you do hit a marsupial, pull over and check it out. Many times these animals are hit with young babies still in their pouches. If you find live babies, wrap them in a towel or blanket and take them to the nearest vet.

Avoid the Train at Night

Perth is a safe city for the most part, but there are some train lines that it is best to avoid unless you are with a group of people.
