Naples Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Inside Tips

Naples Shopping

Naples has great shopping for food, jewelry for clothes. If you’re looking for cameos, food, clothes or art, check out these shops:

Gay Oden

Gay Odin Chocolate shop is located on the famous Via Toledo downtown. Via Toledo is the most popular shopping area in the city. Gay Odin has been around since 1894. You can buy locally made sweets there, like Albanesi, Trifoglio, and Scorzette.

Centro Storico Antique Shops

There are two antique shops in Centro Storico that have beautiful old items rather than old junk. They are very open to bargaining, and you should definitely make an offer for less than the asking price.

Via San Gregorio Armeno

Famous for its elaborate Nativity scenes, Naples has a whole industry around the creation of the figurines. Nowhere is this better seen than at via San Gregorio Armeno, which has rows of shops selling figurines of all shapes and sizes, made by local artisans. While tourists make up a good portion of the clientele around the year, local Neapolitan families keep the tradition alive by shopping here near Christmas time for their own displays. The figurines stacked along the street are a great photo opportunity and also make excellent gifts to bring back home. Via San Gregorio Armeno is located in the heart of Spaccanapoli, perpendicular to via dei Tribunali.

Pignasecca Food Market

In the Montesanto area, this famous food market is held daily from 08.00 to 14.00, blending the smells and colors of fruit, vegetables, and fish.
