Milan Clothes – Not High Fashion and Other Shopping

Milan Shopping: Clothing

Milan is one of the premier high-fashion capitals of the world, but you can still find plenty of bargains if you know where to look.

Viale Papiniano

Three blocks of good bargains. Quite crowded but well worth it if you are looking for shoes, sweaters, purses, etc. and not inclined to pay the high prices in the boutiques. It’s open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.

Corso Buenos Aires

A great location for everyday shopping is the Corso Buenos Aires. A wide, busy street, it’s everything you need from a shopping avenue – clothes, shoes, accessories, department stores, cafes, DVD and music shops and more.

Corso Vittorio Emanuele II

If you want to go shopping in the Duomo area and not spend a fortune, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the best choice. Unlike the Galleria of the same name, there are not many high fashion shops there and more shops like Zara, footlocker, GAP and so on.

Via Dante

Via Dante is located in the heart of the city, running from Piazza de Duomo to Castello Sforzesco. Similar to other shopping areas in Milan, the street has numerous shops on both sides, along with restaurants and cafes. These shops don’t carry high fashion labels.

Terranova

If you’re looking for a store where you can find discount clothing, hats, belts and other accessories, Terranova is the place for you. The prices are super cheap, and during sales it’s almost ridiculous. Keep in mind that it’s much worse quality than some other stores of a similar type like Zara or H&M, but you should be able to find something you’d wear.

Hot Tip: If you go to Milan in the beginning of July almost all clothing stores have major sales on their spring and summer collections – up to 60 percent off!
