Kabul Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Kabul Nightlife

Kabul is the largest city and capital of Afghanistan. While its nightlife may seem less lively when compared to other cities around the world, visitors to Kabul will find plenty to do, day or night.

Dinner and Music

Kabul has plenty of restaurants to choose from, with many of them serving up some of the local favorites. Khyber Restaurant on Pasthunistan Square, is a particulary popular spot. Outside of being known for their food, Kbyber is the site of many dances, weddings, and social gatherings. If you’re feeling bold, strike up a conversation with a member of a wedding party. Most of the locals are friendly and might invite you to join. However, as in most large cities around the world, some people don’t take kindly to strangers at their family events. So, be respectful and don’t crash a party if you’re not invited.

Cinema Halls and Internet Cafes

Kabul has several cineama halls and parks. The films cost only a few rupees and usually are recent hits from India. Ask your hotel or travel guide about the location of the nearest cinema hall. Pioneer Internet Cafe, is another popular tourist spot. Most hotels offer interent, but sometimes service can be unreliable. Pioneer Cafe allows you to pay an hourly fee to browse the web and offers a fastspeed internet better that what you can find at most hotels. They advertise that they’re open 24 hours, but patrons who recently visited claim that they close around 4 am.
