Florence Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Florence Nightlife

Not only does Florence feature stunning architecture and Renaissance art, this city also has an exceptional nightlife scene. Whether you’re looking to go to a jazz bar or visit a Brazilian-style club and restaurant, these nightlife tips help you plan a fun night out.

Experience the Traditional Italian Bar Scene

Joshua Tree Pub, located on Via Della Scala 37R, gives you a taste of what Italy is really like. This bar is mainly populated with young and old Florentines and Italians, in addition to the occasional tourists and foreign students. You’ll find low-priced drinks and friendly staff who doesn’t mind speaking with you in Italian or English. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in at this bar, as they don’t enforce a dress code.

Eat, Drink, and Dance

If you’re looking for an all-in-one venue, visit Maracana. This place is open every day of the week, except Monday. The restaurant has a meat buffet where you fill up your first plate, then servers come out with meat on large skewers and let you choose what you want for the next course. After your meal, enjoy some drinks and wait until around 11:00 pm for the popular dance performance. After the show, the venue transforms into a nightclub.

  • If you’re going here to eat, you’ll need to make a reservation.
  • The dress code isn’t too strict, however, you won’t get in with jeans and a plain, white T-shirt.

The Jazz Club is a small, three-room venue. The first room contains a bar, then past that you see the music area with tables. This venue plays live jazz music and prerecorded music from bands like Jamiroquai while the performers are off stage. To get into this place, you’ll need to buy a “membership card,” which costs about 5 Euros, however, the drinks are fairly cheap to make up for the entrance fee.

  • This venue has no dress code; wear whatever you’re comfortable in.
  • It can be hard to find this venue, as it’s located on a back street. Look for a small glass door with a tiny sticker that has information about opening times.
