Transportation in Hurghada: Buses
Once considered just a fishing village, Hurghada (located along Egypt’s coast of the Red Sea) now attracts people looking for new experiences, vacations, and holidays. The best way to travel around Hurghada is by bus. Bus tours provide outstanding opportunity for exploration and sightseeing, so sit back and enjoy marveling at Hurghada’s natural beauty, stunning waters, and watching the sunset.
Go Bus Transport is the current name of this company. However, most of the locals still refer to it by its former name, “El Gouna Bus Co.”
There are three stations:
- In Hurghada, the station is at El Nasr Rd. El Dahar
- From Cairo, it is next to Ramsis Hilton Hotel at El-tahrir
- In Nasr City, it is in front of El-Seka sporting club
Your comfort on the bus depends on the “Class” you choose. Go “first-class” if you do not require much space. Although it is more expensive, “business class” features comfortable seating and more room. You receive a free light meal on the bus.

If traveling from Luxor to Hurghada, you can take a bus from the main terminal outside the city center. Enjoy fantastic scenery and a tea break.
