Yokohama Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Yokohama Nightlife

While many people visiting Yokohama tend to head to Tokyo’s Roppongi or Shinjuku for the vibrant nightlife scene there, you can still find plenty to do in Yokohama. With any of these ideas, you won’t have to worry about missing the last train home.

Cityscapes

If the weather is nice, you may want to just walk around, enjoying the hustle and bustle of a large city. You can grab a rice ball and a drink from any of the convenience stores you see around town, then watch the people go by. At night, you’ll get great photos of the city lit up. In particular, you can get a nice shot of the Cosmo Clock – the world’s third biggest Ferris wheel — from the harbor area around the Sakuragicho station. Ride the wheel for even more breathtaking views.

Bars and Clubs

Prefer the party scene? Check out Thrash Zone, which specializes in serving a variety of craft beers. Heading here, you’re sure to find others looking for a good time. 73rd Yokohama may be the better choice for those looking to dance the night away, as they have two dance floors and a DJ playing throughout the night.

Restaurants

Whether it’s the start or the end of the night, you’ll want something warm to fill your belly. For some authentic Japanese food that the locals love, check out Sugitaya, which serves up big bowls of delicious ramen. If you’re feeling a little homesick, though, head to TGI Fridays. Here, you’ll be able to get many of the same dishes you’re used to finding in America.
