Chisinau is the capital of the Republic of Moldova. If you like to go out at night, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs to visit during your stay.

The Beer House

The Beer House is an extremely popular bar and restaurant. Serving mostly German food, you can sit down to dinner and stay late until they close at 11 pm. Besides beer, they’re alsoknown for elegant dishes like rabbit braised in cognac.

Nightclubs

Nightclubs and bars are scattered throughout the city. The City Club, Star Track, Millenium, Soho, and Night Club La Victor are some of the most well-known clubs, but there are many others worth checking out as well. Entrance fees can be steep and the clubs get rather busy, especially on the weekends. Show up early, wear your finest attire, and you’ll improve your chances of getting in.

Bars and Live Music

If you don’t want to dance and are looking for a more laid back experience, checkout The Black Elephant Club. This bar and music venue is underground and hosts live concerts most nights of the week. Show up early, as there’s limited space and popular shows can sell out quickly. In the center of the city, in front of the parliamentary building, outdoor concerts are held almost every week in the summer. If you’re in Chisinau during this time of the year, check the newspapers and ask the locals for information regarding upcoming shows. Most of the outdoor concerts are free, but you may have to pay a small fee to catch a performance in a bar or club. Before your vacation, ask your travel agent and hotel staff if they’re aware of any events going on around the time of your stay.
