Another popular local feature are temporary tents. Known as Soju Tents or Pojangmacha, these tents are common around Seoul, and are a good place to try Korean street foods. Sample the chicken on a stick, enjoy some mandu, and richly filled kimbap. You’ll also find Korean pancakes called hotteok that make the perfect snack.

The Han river runs through Seoul. Night is the perfect time to take a cruise. Watch from the deck of the ship as you pass the city’s many illuminated bridges and buildings. You can also see the city’s wooded areas from the boat.

Late Night Shopping

Shopping in Korea is a popular pastime. The Dongdaemun Market is open until five in the morning. Under the sounds of pop music, you can search for bargains here and grab lots of snacks from the regional stalls. Look for all kinds of clothes, handbags, shoes, and accessories. Another popular market area is the Namdaemun market,  where you can also find bargains. Right next to the market is the Myeong Dong area. This is a popular area for late night bars, stores and restaurants.
