Genting Things To Do – Attractions & Must See

Genting Things To Do

With theme parks, casinos, luxury hotels, and plenty of entertainment for kids, the resort destination of Genting in Malaysia has no shortage of attractions and things to do.

Genting Indoor Theme Park and Genting Outdoor Theme Park

Genting has both an outdoor theme park and an indoor theme park. The original outdoor theme park closed in September 2013 and has been replaced by a new park called 20th Century Fox World. Other attractions include the First World Indoor Theme Park, which features Sky Venture, Genting Bowl,  SnowWorld, Vision City, and Funtasy World Video Game Park.

The indoor theme park features a trip around the world, with themed attractions for France, England, Italy, America, Switzerland, and Malaysia. You can enjoy a romantic gondola ride or even test your skills at rock climbing at the Genting indoor theme park. Free shows often take place out in the open for the guests.

Of particular note at the indoor theme park is SnowWorld: Admission gives visitors a 30-45 minute session, jacket and boots rental, and access to a 90-meter toboggan slide, log cabin, lovers’ benches, and snow-covered decor.

Genting Shopping and Dining

The First World Plaza is a bustling location for guests who want some more entertainment. This includes restaurants, shops, a cinema, an interactive horror exhibit, and a Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. Shops are mid- to high-end stores, and restaurants offer a variety of options for all tastes. The Genting indoor theme park is located within the First World Plaza, so if you are planning your itinerary, it might be good to do these on the same day.

Gambling and Casinos in Genting

Monte Carlo Casino is the largest casino in Genting, and it has an abundance of card tables and other gaming alternatives. There is a focus on Chinese card games, such as tai sai and pai gow, but there are other games as well, including baccarat, roulette, slot machines, and more. There is also a foreign VIP room and high limit areas for those who want more risk and reward.

Other casinos in Genting include Resorts World Casino and StarWorld Casino. Be aware that there is a dress code in the casinos, and Muslim Malaysian citizens are not permitted to enter.
