Manali Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Manali Nightlife

Manali is a valley located in a Himalayan resort area in India. Given its remote location and few nighttime establishments, tourists have only a few nightlife options when in the region.

Khyber

Kyber is an Indian restaurant that has been touted as India’s version of TGI Fridays. While the comparison isn’t quite accurate, it does have a modern feel to it that isn’t found in other of Manali. One wall is taken up by windows that look out on the mall. This isn’t the ideal place to sit during the winter, when the temperatures drop and seating around the window gets colder. Drinks can be little pricey, and guests are typically separated from each other so that they can enjoy their privacy.

Malls

Almost every tourist in Manali heads out to the mall in the evening. In truth, the mall remains a popular spot to visit throughout the entire day. The largest crowds, though, tend to only gather as the sun descends. It’s a cheerful place, with brightly lit shops that beckon guests. There’s also quite a bit to look at, from street vendors offering different foods to eat, to small shops selling local crafts and knitwear.

Chopsticks

Manali isn’t exactly known for its late nightlife, so Chopsticks is a popular destination for anyone hoping to stay out late. It’s not just a decent place to grab some food, but a drink as well. Visitors can stop in and enjoy a bottle of wine. There’s also a nice fire that’s popular in the winter. As the temperatures drop, this fire tends to draw in visitors and helps encourage conversation. Chopsticks shuts down at 10 p.m., however they will let you linger around for a little while longer.

Johnson’s Cafe

This is a popular place with Indian tourists, but everyone of all backgrounds is welcome. The café is quite nice, with comfy sofas, an open fire, and good food. Whether you enjoy the music depends on your own tastes, but a DJ starts playing at eight in the evening.
