Cannes Shopping

Any visit to the French Riviera should include a visit to Cannes. You have probably heard of the city thanks to the Cannes Film Festival every year. Of course, Cannes offers much more than luxury hotel stays and the opportunity to hobnob with international celebrities. Many people flock to the coast of France each year to experience the world class shopping that the city has to offer.

There is something for everyone when it comes to fashion in Cannes. Of course, there are the post fashion stores where only the elite shop, but there are many other options too for shopping tourists. There are stores for buyers in their early twenties and teens that are shopping for French fashions on a budget and even clothes for businesswomen shopping.

It’s Not All About Clothes

The French are known for their fashion couture, but that’s not all. Be sure to make a stop at L’Atelier de Jean-Luc Pele for a fresh macaroon. France is known for making some of the best pastries in the world and this store is no exception to that rule. After you make your purchase, be sure to grab one of the free samples near the cash register.

Anyone who goes to Cannes to shop has to make a visit to Rue d’Antibeles. This street is basically to Cannes what Rodeo Drive is to Beverly Hills. It is the center of shopping in the city. The street is filled with iconic shops and some of the flagship stores for international brands. Don’t worry, there are plenty of restaurants and cafés for those that need a refresher during their stay.

The Grey Street Shopping Mall

Another important area for shopping in Cannes is the Grey Street Mall. This building hosts a huge number of some of the most famous clothing lines in the world under the same roof. It is where the elite shopper goes to buy clothes. It’s also a great location for window shopping. You can get some good deals when the next season’s clothes are being released and they are trying to clear out old merchandise in January and February. Discounts can be as much as 80% during this time.
