You’ve probably heard of Cannes because of the film festival. There is, however, so much more to do in Cannes with just a few of the best examples listed here.

Le Suquet

Le Suquet provides you with a beautiful view of the entire city. This is something you’ll want to do with a camera because of the exceptional beauty the scenery offers. If you time it right you can catch the sunset as well, which just makes the picture that much more magical.

Palais des Festivals – Film Festival

The film festival is one of the most popular in the world, so if you have a chance to take in even one show during the festival, it is a great time and you’ll have a blast. During the rest of your time in Cannes, you can walk through the Walk of Fame, which showcases hand prints from famous participants in the festival. This includes directors, producers, actors, and just about every other important member of a film.

The Beach

Cannes has a beautiful beachfront that you can take in all year. While it is on the colder side during the winter months, it still makes for a great little walk.

Vieux Port – Harbour

Right along with the beach, make your way to the harbor. This is the old port, and while not heavily used for shipping goods any longer, it is more designed for individuals who own their own boats. You can walk the port or you can book a boat ride. There are some beautifully maintained boats here you simply will not find in North America and most other places around the world, so keep your eyes out.

Chateau de la Castre – Castle Museum

When you walk the Le Suquet Hill, you can stop by this castle museum. The castle is actually in ruins, but that makes the museum that much more interesting. Plus, alongside the castle museum is Notre Dame de l‘Esperancel, which is another great photo opportunity.
