Enjoy Nature

La Jolla is a great spot for snorkeling, swimming, diving, kayaking, and a fine area to see rays and leopard sharks. It’s a protected area, so surfboards and other floatation devices are not allowed.

La Jolla Lookout Point

Located on the other side of the Cave Store, from the La Jolla Lookout Point you can enjoy fantastic views from the wonderful fenced deck, and you can also find the Coast Walk Trail and enjoy a view of the La Jolla’s Children’s Pool.

La Jolla’s Children’s Pool

It is called the children’s pool because it is a protected cove with a wonderful little beach that is perfect for families. Seals love to sun themselves on the beach to the amazement and enjoyment of tourists and residents.

Art Galleries

La Jolla is the main place to check out the art galleries, especially on Prospect Street. The area is also filled with upscale shops and restaurants and makes for a memorable art and shopping experience.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography

Located in the hills of La Jolla, the view from the Birch Aquarium is spectacular. The aquarium showcases interesting, educational, and entertaining exhibitions that are designed to appeal to both children and adults.

Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial
