Oklahoma City Things To Do

Oklahoma City is the capital of Oklahoma and its largest city. It is one of the biggest cities in the Great Plains. Many people visit the city every year on business and to check out the great attractions the city has to offer.

Myriad Botanical Gardens

Want to spend a quiet afternoon relaxing? The Myriad Botanical Gardens is the place. It is one of the biggest Botanical Gardens around with 17 acres are filled with all kinds of different plant life and walking paths. One of the most impressive things about it is the huge collection of different varieties of orchids it has. The sunken lake is the second most popular attraction in the Botanical Gardens after the Crystal Bridge. The Bridge is a glass tube that goes over the lake that is filled with different plants. If this isn’t enough for you during your visit, check out the waterfall. You can even walk behind it. There is an admission charge of $6 for adults and $5 for seniors to get into the Myriad Botanical Gardens.

Oklahoma City Zoo

If you have children, take them to the Oklahoma City Zoo while you are in town. It isn’t the first thing people think of, but it is actually pretty impressive. Animal lovers particularly will love this zoo because of its commitment to making the animal’s compounds as similar to their natural habitats as possible.  The zoo houses a few different endangered species in its quest to help preserve wildlife. They are available for private showings and photography is allowed.
