Tips on Dayton Warnings or Dangers – Stay Safe!

Dayton Warnings and Dangers

Dayton is like any other place you visit for the first time; fun, exciting, and full of adventure. Despite the thrill of getting out and looking for great places to visit, beware of the dangers.

Check Hotel Reviews

There is a variety in the service and quality of hotels in Dayton, so do your research. While some hotels offer room service and a free complimentary breakfast others do not. To find the right hotel for you, read traveler reviews on websites to help you find the best place to stay.

How to Stay Safe in Dangerous Areas

The most dangerous time to be out in a strange city is at night. Lots of crimes take place in the dark, and like other cities, Dayton is no exception. According to traveler reviews, the west side of town is most likely an unsafe place to visit after dark. If you want to stay safe, pay attention to the locals when they give out safety advice. Other areas in Westwood and the Northland are dangerous, and should be avoided as well.

Beware of Highway Construction Clutter

Sightseeing is the best part of a vacation. If you like taking the scenic route, be sure to check the weather advisory, or the traveler’s guide, to verify which highways are under construction, and which roads are open or closed. Verify this information before you leave your room, as this will help you to avoid being delayed in traffic.

Traffic can be particularly bad in the downtown area but Route 35 appears to be better. If this is not bad enough, construction seems to grow in small numbers each day. Be safe on the highway, and check the traffic conditions, before you head out.
