Orlando Things to Do
One of the most popular tourist cities in America, Orlando is home to more than a dozen theme parks and so many other attractions that it’s impossible to squeeze them all into a single trip.
Orlando offers all the best amusement park experiences. You can walk into all your favorite TV shows at Universal Studios, experience the magic at Disney World, and get a view of underwater life at Sea World.
Everyone has heard of these famous parks, but there are many others that are also worth your time in Orlando. Wonder Works is both informational and fun, with experiential exhibits like hurricane and spaceship landing simulators. There is also the Kennedy Space Center, which will require a whole day and is a great experience for adults and kids alike. Many visitors find it a refreshing break from the other amusement parks.
Tourists also recommend the “La Nouba ” show, better known as the Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney and the City Walk at Universal Studios where there are lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and live entertainment.
Around the City
Lake Eola represents the antithesis of most of the rest of Orlando: calm, spacious, and quiet, with no direct pressure to buy anything from a multinational corporation. Swan boats can be rented, there’s a farmers market on the weekends, and the various sections of the park have something for everyone. And, being just steps from the lively and trendy Thornton Park’s bars and restaurants makes it one of the nicest parts of Orlando.
