Green Goo Review: You Should Have These Products In Your Toiletry Kit

Since discovering Green Goo products from Sierra Organics, I have replaced dozens of items in my toiletry and first-aid kit that I take with me on all trips. All of Green Goo’s products are made with certified organic herbs and 100 percent pure grade essential oils. Their products range from deodorants to bug spray to nursing cream, and almost everything is available in travel size. I recently tested out the First-Aid salve, Solar Goo (sunscreen), Skin Repair salve, Face Wash, and two of the lip balms.

Green Goo Review

Price and Where to Buy Green Goo: You can purchase any of their products on their website, with items starting at $3.95. Select products are also available on Amazon.

How Green Goo Rates:

  • Usefulness: 9/10 Each of Green Goo’s products have more than one purpose, so they are incredibly useful, especially for frequent travelers with limited luggage space. For example, the First-Aid salve relieves sunburns, poison ivy, cracked/dry skin, insect and sting bites, chafing, heel cuts, scrapes, and burns. They are also gluten-free and 100 percent vegetarian. My only critique is that the tins can be difficult to close if you have oil on your hands. Note that since most of the products are salves, they are best used on smaller areas of skin.
  • Value: 9/10 For organic, specialty products, these are fairly priced, especially since each product serves more than one function.
  • Portability: 9/10 Most of the products have a travel-size option which is either a .6 oz stick or .7 oz tin, making them extremely portable. The tins are great because they lay flat and can be stacked in any toiletry bag. They also sell convenient travel size sets, like the Outdoor Travel Pack.
  • Cool Factor: 8/10 Since these products are organic and were created by a certified herbalist, I’d say they are pretty cool. The fact that each product can serve so many different purposes is also a great factor. And, none of the products I tested had an overwhelming smell, which is nice because some all-natural and essential oil products can have heavy scents.

Final Verdict:

Whether you’re taking an active trip or traveling on business, you should have some of Green Goo’s products with you. The First-Aid salve is a great product to start with, and I also love the Face Wash and lip balms, especially if you have sensitive skin.
