US Airways In-Flight Wi-Fi Coverage Reaches 90%

Got Wi-Fi in-flight?

You can be sure you do only if you’re flying Virgin America or AirTran, both of which boast coverage on 100 percent of their flights.

Until recently, the airlines with the second- and third-best coverage were Southwest and Delta.

But US Airways has jumped them both and now boasts almost 90 percent Wi-Fi coverage of its domestic flights with the installation of Gogo Wi-Fi on its 270 Airbus A319, A320, A321, and Embraer 190 jets and on the Embraer 170 and 175 aircraft operated by Republic Airlines as US Airways Express.

US Airways passengers can purchase Gogo Wi-Fi online, for prices beginning at $14.00 for a day pass, or onboard, from $4.95 depending on the flight length and device used to access the Internet.
