18 Severed Heads Found at Chicago O’Hare Airport

Are you missing a box of human heads? Bring your claim ticket to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, where 18 severed heads were found by customs agents.

Don’t worry, it doesn’t appear that a serial killer has jetted off on vacation, packing only his bag o’heads—no foul play is suspected.

Brian Bell, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security, told the Chicago Sun-Times, that the heads appear to be medical samples. He stated, “Everybody here is, ‘Oh my gosh, you got a box of heads’ and everybody thinks that it’s unheard of. It is a potentially legitimate medical shipment. We’ve seen it at various ports in the nation.”

So if your carry-on luggage is constantly overweight due to heavy severed human body parts, take note—Bell said, “There’s no issue with the transportation of body parts for medical purposes…There’s nothing against the law that says you cannot ship them, provided you have the right documentation.”

The Sun-Times reported that the heads (which they graphically noted are still covered in skin), were sent to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation.
