Earn up to 65,000 Bonus Points for Hyatt Stays

Hyatt’s recurring Faster Free Nights and other generous promotions have a lot to do with Hyatt’s popularity among the frequent-traveler set. As one of the smallest major hotel chains, it’s a sensible marketing strategy: Offset your size disadvantage with superior bonus offers.

But there’s a danger as well: inflated expectations. If you’ve been trained to expect lucrative bonuses year-round, anything less will be a disappointment.

Indeed, as this new promotion illustrates, Hyatt does not always deliver on those expectations.

Offer Details

Between September 1 and November 30, Hyatt Gold Passport members can earn 5,000 bonus points after the first five nights, plus 10,000 more bonus points for every five nights thereafter—up to a maximum of 65,000 bonus points after 35 nights.

There’s a 20 percent extra bonus for Gold Passport members with Hyatt credit cards, increasing the maximum total to 78,000 bonus points.

Registration is required and must be completed by October 31.

Deal or No Deal

“Up to 65,000 Bonus Points” makes for a nice headline, but c’mon … after 35 nights?

This is one of Hyatt’s weaker promotions, not only compared to past Hyatt offers but, more importantly, compared to those of its competitors. Unless you’re a Hyatt diehard, you’ll probably find better fall bonuses with other loyalty programs—programs that reward you for stays with more brands at more individual properties. Keep an eye on our summary of current hotel promotions for other options.
