You’re guaranteed a bed, breakfast … and a spectacular view if you book a stay at one of these B&Bs. We helped helped our friends at BedandBreakfast.com narrow a list of B&Bs with amazing vistas down to 10 winners in its just-completed “B&Bs with the Best Views” contest. Scroll to the botton for a link to the full list of winners, but first feast your eyes on our favorites.
Yes, we want to stay at all of these B&Bs, but here are the three we wish we were waking up in right now. Prepare for a severe case of travel envy.
After an evening spent sampling local Tuscan wines, wake up to a view of vineyards, olive groves, and rolling countryside. This former farmhouse has been renovated into a nine room B&B, complete with a swimming pool, gardens, and a panoramic sun terrace.
The fresh water pool at La Haut Plantation (pictured above) has one of the best views on St. Lucia—and in the entire Caribbean, for that matter. Swim and stare at the Pitons’ peaks while hummingbirds and butterflies hover nearby. The B&B lives up to its name—it’s actually a working citrus and cocoa plantation, with permanent animal guests (donkeys, goats, and cows).
Closer to home, marvel at the same stunning Southwest views as Georgia O’Keeffe (a former guest) at the Hacienda del Sol and its 1.2 acres of lilacs, cottonwoods, and blue spruce. It features panoramic views of the Taos Mountain. Plus, one of the innkeepers is a professional chef, so you know breakfast will be good!
