Priority Club Discounts Awards at 107 Hotels

For Priority Club Rewards members who consider the program’s recurring award discounts one of its signature benefits, the previous PointBreaks offering was a letdown.

Only 55 of InterContinental’s portfolio of more than 4,500 hotels were on the list of properties offering free nights for 5,000 points. And of those, only 31 were in the U.S.

This time, Priority Club has gone a long way toward redeeming itself, with almost double the number of participating PointBreaks hotels.

Offer Details

Priority Club’s just-released list of PointBreaks hotels comprises 107 properties, including 56 in the U.S.

All participating hotels may be booked for 5,000 points per night, between March 1 and April 30.

As always with PointBreaks offers, rooms available at the discounted rate are limited, and the most desirable hotels sell out quickly. So don’t dawdle if you see a hotel on the list that strikes your fancy.

Deal or No Deal

With award prices normally ranging between 10,000 and 40,000 points, the PointBreaks rate of 5,000 points per night represents a significant savings. And if those savings can be had at a truly desirable property, the value is compelling.

So the key variable is the participating hotels. Are there stay-worthy properties on the new PointBreaks list?

Desirability is in the eye of the beholder. But there are three InterContinental hotels (Costa Rica, Mexico, Jordan), as well as a few Crowne Plazas among the many Holiday Inn Express hotels.

Bottom line: It’s well worth a look at the new PointBreaks list.

Reader Reality Check

Are there PointBreaks hotels that make this a good deal for you? A great deal? No deal?
