Just when it seemed that the two-year-long torrent of hotel promotions might be slowing to a trickle, Choice Hotels has announced a new bonus offer for stays during the next two months.
Through February 18, 2010, members of the Choice Privileges program will earn triple airline miles or hotel points for the second and subsequent stays at Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, Ascend, MainStay Suites, Suburban, EconoLodge, and Rodeway Inn hotels.
To earn the bonus, stays must be booked at choicehotels.com or by calling 1-800-4CHOICE. Advance registration is required. (Registering for the promotion automatically enters you into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a six-night Hawaiian vacation. No stay required.)
Deal or No Deal
The key qualifier here is the requirement that travelers log two or more stays to triple their earnings.
For those whose travel plans already include two hotel stays during the promotion period, and whose budget and tastes place one or more Choice brands among their options, the triple miles or points give this chain an edge over competing brands with lesser incentives.
Even if this offer is a non-starter for you, you might want to register for a chance to win that Hawaii trip, which includes six nights at a Choice hotel and a $2,000 check to cover airfare. I did.
