Celebrate Bastille Day With France Travel Savings

Bastille Day? Best deals day? Not usually, but this summer there have been more sales than usual to Paris and the rest of France. So in honor of the upcoming July 14 holiday, I’m rounding up some noteworthy deals you can book now for France travel this summer, fall, and winter. But the fireworks, dancing, and copious amounts of wine are up to you.

Air-and-Hotel Packages

Gate1Travel’s 6 Day Paris Value Vacation includes round-trip airfare from New York (with other cities available for an additional cost), four nights’ accommodations, and daily breakfast from $599 per person. The cheapest price is available for dates in December and January. For travel in August and September, Gate1 has a 6 Day Paris Vacation with airfare (from New York) and four nights’ accommodations from $749 per person.

Go-Today is offering a six-night air-and-hotel Paris at its Best package from $629 per person. The cheapest rate is for departures from Philadelphia in November. There’s also a Paris Escape from New York package with air from New York and four nights’ accommodations in late fall or early winter for $399 per person.

Hotels

Orbitz is currently running a hotel sale with up to 40 percent off Paris hotel rates.

Expedia has a hotel and vacation package sale for France and elsewhere in Europe, with savings up to 30 percent for bookings made by July 31 for travel by October 31.

At the Hotel Jules Verne, book two nights at rates starting at $152 per night and get daily breakfast and a two-day museum pass for two people.

Rail Travel

Rail Europe is offering up to 50 percent off Thalys high-speed train tickets for bookings made by August 15 for travel through August 29. Both Rail Europe and Eurail.com have a special offering 10 days of rail travel for the price of eight for students under 26 with an ISIC card.
