Several weeks ago, I wrote a feature about holiday air travel that included some dire predictions about the cost of flying for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. One expert said prices were up 30 percent or more overall for 2008 holiday flights compared to ticket prices last year, and many of us at SmarterTravel.com have found this to be true in our own hunts for cheap flights home.
I want to know how you are finding booking holiday fares this year. Are you feeling sticker shock or have you been able to snag a cheap seat? Share your holiday airfare shopping experiences in the comment field below. Plus, I wrote about holiday saving strategies earlier, but you can let your fellow readers know if you’ve discovered any additional ways to cut costs or get better flights.
