Quebec: Get Jazzed in Montreal From $78/Night

As Montreal gears up for its annual Jazz festival at the end of the month, you can sing your own happy tune with deals on rooms. Several properties are offering rooms for less than $100 per night in June.

I've tracked down several properties that offer a good value for your weekend getaway, each with reasonable prices and/or a little something extra to make your stay memorable.

  • Built in 1875, the Atmosphere B&B combines modern comfort with a classic setting. The three rooms start at $85 CAD (about $78 U.S.; check for current exchange rates), and each offers a shared or private balcony and wireless Internet. A three-course gourmet breakfast is served each morning.
  • Surrounded by the restaurants, shops, and nightlife of the Plateau Mont Royal area, the Accueil Chez Francois B&B provides five rooms starting at $90 CAD. Each of the brightly painted rooms comes equipped with wireless Internet, views of La Fontaine Park or the backyard, and air conditioning. A hearty breakfast is served each morning.
  • Located in the heart of the Latin District, the Victorian Heritage Bed and Breakfast provides a historic glimpse into the home's first owners, the Judge Samuel Cornwallis Monk and his family. Each of the seven rooms, starting at $96 U.S. per night, is decorated to reflect the era the Monk family lived here. A full breakfast is served each morning in the country-style kitchen.

If you're traveling from out of town and need to book a flight, you can find the lowest prices for your route by comparing airfares from multiple travel providers with our price-comparison tool.
