Some vacation providers automatically include airfare taxes and fees in their total prices, but watch out for those that do not, as additional taxes and fees associated with airfare can make your final cost much higher.
Also, if your package includes accommodations, you can sometimes wind up paying much more than you had expected when you check out of your hotel. Almost all hotels offer additional services that you may be tempted to use, but that come with a considerable markup that you will be required to pay in addition to your room rate. Most hotels will add extra charges to your bill for the following: making local and long-distance telephone calls, accessing the Internet, ordering room service, using the mini-bar, or having additional guests or pets. Wyndham is an important exception to note, as its ByRequest members receive free local and domestic long-distance calls and free high-speed Internet access.
