Alpharetta, Georgia, is a popular business and leisure destination. Its convenient location less than 25 miles from Atlanta allows visitors easy access to the big city, but this growing community offers plenty attractions of its own. Visitors can escape from the rush and heat of the capital and head to the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve & Heritage Center's 46 acres of native wildlife and two miles of walking trails. The Southeast's only American Girl Boutique and Bistro provides everything from tasty treats to a salon dedicated solely to your doll's hairdo. History buffs will find plenty of things to do in Alpharetta, with 17 local historical sites, such as the Milton Log Cabin, which was built by Future Farmers of America students in the 1930s.

Alpharetta is served by the busiest passenger airport in the world, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.
