Sao Paulo experiences warm weather year-round, making it a great escape any time of year. The most popular time to go is from June through mid-December, when temperatures are cool, skies are clear, and many of the city's biggest events take place.
The least popular time to visit is mid-December through February, when many locals leave for summer vacation and rain is heavier.

Sao Paulo experiences a humid subtropical climate, with warm temperatures throughout the year. The most favorable weather occurs from April through September, when it's fairly dry and average high temperatures range between 71 and 77 degrees. Rainfall is heaviest during December and January, with average high temperatures around 80 degrees.
Sao Paulo hosts 75 percent of Brazil's events, and gets particularly busy during Corrida Internacional de São Silvestre (Saint Sylvester Street Race) (in Portuguese only) on December 31, Carnival in February, Sao Paulo Fashion Week in January and February or June and July, the Sao Paulo LBGT Pride Parade in June, and the Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix races in October.
Hotels, shops, and attractions remain open throughout the year.
When to Save
Prices remain fairly constant throughout the year. Discounts are prevalent from January through mid-February. Prices may be higher during major events.
