When to Visit Phoenix

by SmarterTravel Staff

With an arid, dry climate, Phoenix sees warm weather year-round. The most popular times to visit are the spring and winter, when the weather is pleasant and a variety of sporting events take place.

The fall brings low prices and comfortable weather. Because of rising temperatures, the summer sees the fewest visitors. Many people, however, take trips to the high country in Northern Arizona, including the Grand Canyon, while visiting Phoenix in the summer.

  • high season: December to March
